Someone should inform this blogger that complaining about it to the store employees is going to do nothing but waste their time. These guys aren't exactly throwing out Christmas shit because they're anxious to get started, these are corporate mandates. Mailing, E-Mailing and calling the corporate offices of these places is how you get things like this noticed.
NO. Santa Claus is a religious figure, underhandedly symbolic of the teaching that abortion is a sin against mankind. This is why the Beach Boys are so wealthy. Don't you understand? FIREBOMB OLDIES 103.3 STUDIOS.
Vomits. I can barley take a week of that stuff. It gets so over play. Whats the worst Christmas song ???? The Santa version of "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron "
Ugh. Just...ugh. After four holiday seasons in retail that crap still makes me twitch. And it's barely November!
someone got a call on the t next to me yesterday, and their ringtone was jingle bells.
Yeah. They start it Nov 1st, now.
I'm pretty sure they just started it today, Nov 6th, not the 1st.
my fave christmas song of all is the Pogues "Fairytale of New York"... ahhh... can you feel the love?
Went into CVS yesterday. Oh yeah, all that Xmas crap is up and glittering like a malevolent Jem & teh Holograms toy.
This is about the time that working next to a giant mall becomes a major bummer.
i work in a giant mall.
...thankfully swept up and away from most of it, but it does mean walking through it 203948203 times a day.
It's strangely enlightening to be one of the like six people in Metro Boston that doesn't hate Christmas.
Yeah, it starts a bit earlier than I'd like, but the "wah wah, I hate the bright lights and jolly shit hanging on the walls a full three and a half weeks earlier than normal" attitude baffles me.
personally i am delighted. it gives a nice break to the impending shitty weather, political fatigue i am experience, and my regular old boring life. whatever to the naysayers, i am happier now!
The Oldies 103.3 shit bothers me especially since Boston has no freakin' decent oldies stations. At least with 103.3 I would occasionally hear the Hollies and the Beatles at 10pm thing was always good.
By "holiday music," you mean, "Veterans Day songs," right? Right? Tell me that's what you mean. Lie, if necessary.
Ugh I hope my roommate has forgotten that they do this.
I have been in stores that started playing Christmas music before Halloween. My mother has been in stores that started selling Christmas shit just after Labor Day. And I saw a tree lit up with friggin' Christmas lights on Halloween.
I remember the days where you didn't see, hear or do anything for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. What the fuck happened to those days?????
