[Boston] Become a Summer Intern/Independent Study Student at the Bisexual Resource Center
The BRC needs one or two unique, forward thinking, energetic interns to help with the following:
▼ Event Planning: assist with the planning of summer and fall community events, including Celebrate Bisexuality Day in September;
▼ Volunteer Coordination: assist with getting community members involved with various activities including events and fundraising;
▼ Product Management: assist with fulfilling orders and updating inventory;
▼ Pride: assist with organizing the bisexual contingent for Boston Pride, preparing materials for the BRC Pride Booth and coordinating volunteer coverage of activities.
The internship is unpaid, however independent study credits can be arranged with your advisor. This position is for ten (10) hours per week, May-August 2011 and can be built around your availability. The BRC office is located at 29 Stanhope Street , right near the Back Bay Station on the Orange Line. Some of the internship time will be spent at the office; some tasks might be able to be done from your home.
Applicants should have the following: strong organizational ability; ability to take initiative and work independently; good writing communication, and people skills; flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of task; and a sense of humor!
